Beautiful beach at Camping on the Gulf campground.
Rental cabins.
We took it easy this morning, deciding to skip the pancake breakfast the campground put on ($2 for pankcakes, coffee and juice). We went to the beach for a bit before lunch, then had lunch and relaxed a bit. After lunch, the campground had a free presentation featuring Bubba the alligator, so we went to that. It was very informative and interesting. Both Bubba and Dave the trainer were very funny. Bubba is about 15 years old, 6 1/2 feet long and 160 pounds. He is very tame. The trainer told some funny stories about Bubba. For instance, Bubba likes hot dogs and head-butts the refrigerator to let Dave know he wants a hot dog. Or how Bubba plays tug of war with a 20 lb. beagle.

After that, we went back to the beach for a bit. The winds started picking up so we left to come back to the RV for dinner. There is a possibility of a thunderstorm tonight, so the temperature is dropping a bit, although we still have all the windows open in the RV and I am working on the blog outside at the picnic table in shorts and T-shirt.

We do plan to leave tomorrow because we have reservations to camp at Disney's Fort Wilderness for a couple of days, although I am almost tempted to cancel that and stay here, it is that nice. It's like being in the Caribbean or Mexico with the green ocean and sugary sand, but you don't have to fly here and you have all the conveniences of being in the US. I plan to return!
Perfect beach in Destin, Florida!
