Ocala, Florida. Oak Tree campground off I75. Temperature about 60 F.

We left the Emerald Coast today and took the coastal route along the panhandle, travelling 525 km from Destin to Ocala, Florida.  It was a long day, but we are fairly close to Disney's Ft. Wilderness Campground, which is our destination for tomorrow.

Perfect beach at Destin.

More Destin beach!

The drive along the coast of the panhandle is very scenic.  We stopped at Port St. Joe again for lunch, same spot as last year.  The cats really enjoyed watching all the birds (seagulls?).  We enjoyed it last year and wanted to do it again.  It is however slower going than barreling down I75!

Lunch at Port St. Joe.

Port St. Joe view.

Port St. Joe where we stopped for lunch.  Our RV is in the background.

Coastal route on the panhandle.

Scenery on the coastal route along the panhandle.

More coastal route.

We started out at about 9:00 a.m. and stopped at 7:30 p.m., and we had a one hour time change in there!  So we are ready to rest up for tomorrow's adventures at the House of Mouse!

Thanks again for stopping by!
