I saw this on cable the other day. You know, I usually don't regret staying up past my bedtime just to watch a little late night nookie but this flick annoyed me right off the bat. It starts off with sex scenes being interrupted by black and white close-up scenes of the characters telling their personal feelings straight into the camera. I should have taken this disastrous film-making choice as my cue to hit the hay. Instead, I stuck it out and cried myself to sleep later.
Black and white close-up scenes saturate "Married People, Single Sex: Urban Adultery". It's the story of three couples and their sex lives. The camera acts as confessor as everyone gets to take time to have their inner thoughts revealed. So we get to see people whine to the camera about how they're unfulfilled in their sex life and waaa, waaa, waaa. Hey, guess what? You're in a skin flick! Start acting like it, dang it. What the heck am I watching? It's a softcore soap opera. Oh goodie. Just what I wanted.
The sex scenes are internet-porn quality at best. There's nothing here worth watching. Take my advice, if you see this movie playing on cable one night, turn the TV off and hop into bed. Let these people complain to someone else.
