Destin, Florida. Camping on the Gulf campground. 84 degrees F!

BEST.   DAY.   EVER.   !!!!!!!!!

Another day in paradise!  Fabulous warm sunny day, emerald green ocean, powdery white sandy beach, fantastic!

Fishing boat and emerald water.

Wow!
We decided to try walking to the Winn Dixie for a couple of groceries, and to the Silver Sands outlet mall ("the nation's largest designer outlet mall" with 112 stores including Jones New York, Eddie Bauer, Swarovski, etc.).  On the way we stopped at Alvin's Island, the local beach retailer, where Paul bought a sweatshirt.

We went into a couple of the outlet stores where I bought a couple of t-shirts, then decided to leave and go to Winn Dixie.  As we started to make our way there, we came upon a restaurant called "Cheeseburger in Paradise", which is the name of a famous song by Jimmy Buffet of "Margaritaville" fame.  In fact we have a Jimmy Buffet CD & DVD with us on the trip, we are big fans, so were quite excited to discover this restaurant.

Cheeseburger in Paradise!

We went in to check the menu, and it turns out they actually have a separate GLUTEN FREE menu!  Holy smokes!!!  Needless to say we decided to stay for lunch (it is very rare for us to eat in restaurants), and it was really great!

Paul had a Beach Burger with a "big kosher pickle on the side" (words from the song Cheeseburger in Paradise) and gluten free fries while I had their Calypso Salad, which was very good.

Greetings from Paradise on wall.

It's 5 o'clock somewhere!

Be aware of land sharks.

We made our way across the road and while I did the groceries at Winn Dixie, Paul went into the Dollar General to buy some glue.  We then walked back to camp.

Once back at camp we rested a bit, then I chatted with Chris, and then we went to the beach for a bit.  When we returned to camp, I decided to do some laundry and Paul put some heat on his neck.

At the beach!

Paul & Bandit.

After laundry was done, we went back to the beach to see one last sunset before we leave, and the fabulous emerald green water and white sugary sand.

After that we came back to camp and Paul barbecued the chicken we bought, and we ate that with leftover salad and honeydew melon.

Right now it is 84 F in the RV.  While I am updating the blog, Paul is relaxing and playing with the cats and we are watching the Country Music Awards on the teeny tiny tv in the teeny tiny motor home!

Life is very good indeed, we are truly blessed.

Thanks for stopping by!
