Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Days Inn. About 35 degrees F.

We left the hotel at Holland, Ohio at 9 a.m. and went right next door to the TARGET STORE! where we bought a US pay as you go disposable cellphone for $9.99 (Tracfone), and some minutes to go along with it to get us through the trip!

Abby put herself under her puffy bed just before we left the hotel!

We stopped at Piqua, Ohio for lunch at a rest area where I made sandwiches from leftover roast beef, and we cut up the apple we got this morning at the hotel as part of the continental breakfast.  I also started up the generator and made a really good cup of tea!

Lunch at Piqua. Paul in the driver's seat, Abby in the back window.

Bandit ready to drive the van

In all we only travelled about 550 km today, but we stopped a couple of times to shop a bit, and also stopped for gas and propane.  And of course we stopped at the Welcome Centre to pick up discount hotel coupons.  The weather co-operated until we went through a snow storm in Louisville, Kentucky, so decided to stop around 6:30 p.m. in Elizabethtown, where we are spending this windy night at the Days Inn.  Elizabethtown is on Highway 65 between Louisville and Bowling Green, Kentucky.

The plan is to continue on towards Nashville tomorrow, depending on the weather.

For those of you either coming or going through Dayton on I75, the construction is a mess!

Bandit peeking out from under HALF of his travel crate.  He crawled in there himself.

Abby, the Queen of it all, travelling in her crate in the RV!
