Tupelo, Mississippi. America's Best Inn. 55 degrees F.

Temperature was 41 degrees F. when we got up!  It is now 55 degrees F., brrrrr....

After breakfast in the RV, we went back to Graceland Crossing to pick up a couple of souvenirs J

Then onward to downtown Memphis for Paul to see Stax Museum (artists like Sam & Dave, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Booker T & the MG's, etc.)  We did our bit to jumpstart the local economy, picking up special souvenirs.

We drove to downtown Memphis and parked a block from Beale Street, then walked down the section of Beale Street that is closed to car traffic.  It has a number of souvenir shops and restaurants and honky tonks and BB King's Club.  It is certainly different at night than when we saw it today mid-day.

We missed the 11 a.m. duck walk at the Peabody Hotel, so after we lunched in our RV, we started making our way to Tupelo, where we are staying for the night.  It is too cold to camp, so we are in a hotel again.  We covered about 200 km today.
Tomorrow we plan to see Elvis' birthplace, then start heading towards Florida and hopefully warmer weather.
